Last spring, I released a trailer for my upcoming short film, Reclaiming the Night: Preserving the Dark Skies of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I had initially expected to get the final film done before the summer, but I soon discovered the intricacies of what causes editing to be such a lengthy process.
At the time this trailer was created, I had only obtained two of the interviews I intended to use in the final version. I eventually wound up with three more, plus my own narration.
The trailer itself came from a rather intense disappointment in the reception the town and county of Jackson had to proposed better lighting practices that myself and two others brought to their attention, despite the importance being listed in the Jackson’s Comp Plan. – Read more
